MEDIA RELEASE: September 1, 2009
Upon confirmation of the reported Federal Grand Jury Indictment
of Jury Commissioner Jerry Bonner, the Court shall ensure that Mr. Bonner
refrains from any participation or involvement in any jury selection matters.
As Mr. Bonner is an elected county official, he does not fall within the
scope of the employment of the Court and, therefore, the Court has no
right to take any disciplinary personnel action other than preclude him
from jury functions.
